The running bum Morgan Sjogren claims to have written a guidebook about the remote hiking trails in the Bears Ears National Monument that will be coming out soon.

From Running bum website

This new book is being pushed big time on twitter, facebook, and on other websites. Men’s journal published an article about her Bears Ears National Monument adventure and referred to her as the woman that knows the area the best “Meet the Woman Who Knows Bears Ears Best”.

Thomas S Bremer (@TomBremer) on twitter tweeted the following about the running bum:

Hiking over 1000 miles of trails in the Bears Ears NM is an interesting if not totally unbelievable statement…

Morgen Sjogren also claims to have spooned with a skunk while on her 8 month 1000 mile trail hike in the Bears Ears National Monument.

Anyone that has ever ran into a skunk and experienced the spray from the skunks anal scent glands which have an offensive and nauseating odor would find this claim to be unbelievable as well.

This expert also has a website where she talks about her book writing experience. On the site this expert of the Bears Ears National Monument area claims to have been in a bowling alley in Monticello Utah which is located on the east border of the 1.3 million acre monument.

The problem is Monticello Utah has no bowling alley. The bowling alley is located 20 miles to the south of Monticello in Blanding Utah.

This back-country trail guide author doesn’t even know what town she was in. This raises the question that if she didn’t know what town she was in do you really think she knows the trails in the Bears Ears National Monument better than anyone else? Do you really think she hiked 1000 miles of trails, and spooned with a skunk?

This all seem unbelievable and I don’t think I would buy a guide book about one of the most remote areas in the nation that was written by author that didn’t even know what town she was in eating was in while eating lunch in a bowling alley…
